The weather has been cold and windy lately. I'm hoping it will warm up soon so the bees can break cluster.

Another Post

Well, I guess I'm starting to post a lot. :) Today I walked around and took pictures of whatever I wanted to. Here are a few of the pictures I took. Right now it's really cloudy and starting to cool down so I probably won't be able to take any pictures for awhile.

Bees and Cattle

Today D.J. and I walked to our reservoir. Along the way we saw our heifers which our dog Sam really enjoyed playing with. We walked on the ice at the reservoir then headed back. On the way back we swung by our steer calves. After we got home I went and took some pictures of my bees. Here are the pictures.

Bee Close-ups

Today I went out and looked at the bees. They were out and about gathering water so I took some pictures of them. It was a lot easier than taking pictures of bees on flowers because unlike a bee taking nectar from a flower the bee drinking water stays in one place longer. Here are some of the pictures I took.

So, I figured today that if I'm not going to post on this blog I should either delete it or start posting. :) So I'm choosing the second option. Today Mom and I put sugar candy on the bees. I didn't get any pictures of that but I did get pictures after. The bees were really flying today as you can probably see in the pictures.

Last Friday we pulled Supers and on Sunday we extracted. Here are some pictures of extracting.We got five gallons of honey.

Busy Bee pics

Today the bees were really busy bringing in pollen and nectar. I took a lot of pictures but I'll just post a few here.
